ThinkSmart Extends Contracts WithPC World & PC City In UK And Europe

– PC World and PC City contracts extended to end of 2013

– ThinkSmart now operating with DSG International in UK, Spain & Italy

– European business represented 59% of volume contribution in FY 2007

– Exclusive B2B agreements underscore plan for continued European territory growth

ThinkSmart Limited (ASX:TSM), an international computer and office equipment financing company, today announced it has extended its agreements with PC World and PC City, the computer retail trading divisions of DSG International, one of Europe’s leading specialist electrical retailing groups.

The agreements with PC World and PC City have both been extended through to 31 December 2013, effectively extending the existing five-year contracts by more than two years. 

“This extension, our third, is a fantastic endorsement of the synergies between our two businesses and effectively extends our relationship over a ten-year period,” said ThinkSmart founder and Chief Executive Officer, Ned Montarello.

“The increasing focus for the PC World group on delivering complete computing solutions to its customers is continuing to elevate our service within their stores as it very much provides the financial glue for the small business customer to get all the technology equipment they need.

“Together we are continuing to look at opportunities to extend our product across the group and we reaffirm our appetite to add further territories annually to our current European footprint”.

ThinkSmart currently trades with DSG through its 160 PC World stores in the United Kingdom, 36 PC City stores in Spain and 16 PC City stores in Italy where ThinkSmart launched last month.  The UK and Spain represented 59% of sales volumes for ThinkSmart in FY 2007.
